General description

Integrin beta-2, also known as CD18, is an adhesion receptor in neutrophils that interacts with cytohesin-1 intracellularly. Integrin beta is instrumental in activation-dependent adhesion and adhesion-dependent signaling. Expression of integrin beta-2 has a positive correlation with patient survival from malignant B cell lymphoma.
Immunogen
Whole B10 mouse spleen cells enriched with T-cells.
Application
Immunoprecipitation Analysis: A previous lot was used by an independent laboratory in IP (Sanchez-Madrid, F., et al. (1983). J. ExP. MED. 158:586-602).
Inhibition Analysis: A previous lot of this antibody was shown to inhibit lymphoma metastasis (Zahalka, M. A. et al. (1993) J. Immunol. 150, 4466).

Ischemic stroke is an acquired brain injury with gender-dependent outcomes. A persistent obstacle in understanding the sex-specific neuroinflammatory contributions to ischemic brain injury is distinguishing between resident microglia and infiltrating macrophages-both phagocytes-and determining cell population-specific contributions to injury evolution and

Defects in the outer blood-retinal barrier have significant impact on the pathogenesis of diabetic retinopathy and macular edema. However, the detailed mechanisms involved remain largely unknown. This is, in part, attributed to the lack of suitable animal and cell culture
