General description

Millipore’s Normal Human Small Airway Epithelial Cell line, when grown in our recommended medium, provides an ideal serum-free culture model for the accurate studies of toxicity, cystic fibrosis, asthma, pathogenesis, pharmacology or airway wound healing. These cells are not exposed to antimicrobials or phenol red when cultured in EpiGRO SAE Complete Media Kit. Normal Human Small Airway Epithelial Cells are cryopreserved at passage 1 to ensure highest viability and plating efficiency.

"The successful, reliable culture of epithelial cells is critical for many areas of research, including dermatology, respiratory research, and cancer research. Because the breakdown of control mechanisms in epithelial cells is a frequent contributor to cancer progression and metastasis, epithelial cell culture is particularly important for cancer research.
