FibroGRO^® LS Supplement Kit

To form FibroGRO^®-LS Complete Media Kit both components arerequired: basal medium (Cat# SCMF-BM) and supplement mix (Cat# SCMF002-S).

FibroGRO^® Media formulations provide an optimal cell cultureenvironment for many types of human fibroblasts and mouse embryonic fibroblastsThese low-serum/serum-free formulations have been shown to grow these cells atrates that meet or exceed commercially available serum containing media, whilemaintaining excellent cell morphology. The media are packaged in a speciallydesigned UV protective shrinkwrap for added stability, which includes atemperature gauge for added convenience. FibroGRO^® Media contain no antimicrobialsand no phenol red, components that can cause cell stress and masking effectsthat may influence experimental results.
FibroGRO^®-LS Medium is optimized for low-serum (2%)culture of human fibroblasts and supports the growth of these cells in a 2%serum environment at rates equal to or greater than comparable mediasupplemented with much higher concentrations of FBS. May also be used for theculture of stromal cells, mesenchymal cells and mouse embryonic fibroblasts.FibroGRO^®-LS Medium contains no antimicrobials and no phenol red; componentsthat can cause cell stress and “masking effects” that may influenceexperimental results (these are not needed, or recommended, to achieve optimalcell performance). FibroGRO^® provides a perfect cell system to establish lowserum human feeder layers for stem cell culture, or as a model to study woundhealing, toxicology or basic cell biology.

Basal Medium (SCMF-BM) should be stored at 2 - 8ºC. Thespecial UV protective packaging protects FibroGRO Medium from light damage,however users should take care to protect medium from extended exposure tolight. Supplement Kits (SCMF001-S and SCMF002-S) should be stored at -20ºC. Seeindividual labels for expiry date. Supplemented medium should be stored at 2 -8ºC in the dark. Use within 1 month of supplementation. Do not freeze.
