EPIGRO^® Human Epidermal Keratinocyte Supplement Kit

EpiGRO Human Epidermal Keratinocyte Complete Media Kit is a serum-free medium optimized for the culture of human keratinocytes. It supports the growth of these cells over a period of at least 15 population doublings. This medium does not contain any antimicrobials or phenol red; components that can cause cell stress and “masking effects” that may influence experimental results. It is formulated for use in an incubator with an atmosphere of 5% CO2. TheEpiGRO Human Epidermal Keratinocyte Complete Media Kit is a serum-free medium optimized for the culture of human keratinocytes.

To form a complete kit both components are required: Basal Medium (Catalog No. SCMZ-BM) and Supplement Mix (Catalog No. SCMK001-S).

Supplement Mix should be stored at -20ºC. Basal Medium should be stored at 2-8ºC in the dark. Do not freeze. Supplemented Medium is stable for up to 4 weeks at 2-8ºC. Do not freeze the supplemented medium. For use, aliquot and pre-warm the needed amount of medium, keeping the remaining medium refrigerated at 2-8ºC.

Each lot is checked for growth promoting activity, adherence rate, and typical morphology. In addition, all lots of media have been tested for the absence of microbial contaminants (fungi, bacteria, mycoplasma).
