- To study the spectral characteristics of 1-(2,4-diamino phenylazo) naphthalene and 4-aminoazobenzene by tautomerization and inclusion complexation
- To study the inclusion complexes of ß-cyclodextrin (ß-CD) with 4-hydroxyazobenzene and 4-aminoazobenzene
- In the detection of 4-aminoazobenzene using copper nanoclusters prepared using ascorbic acid

Aminoazobenzenes (AABs) are a class of compounds containing the azo group, which renders them colored. They have been used as dyes for fabrics, polishes, and food. 4-dimethylaminoazobenzene (DMAB), was used to color margarine.
