General description
PCB No 209 (Decachlorobiphenyl) is a perhalogenated biphenyl pesticide with halogen atoms in ortho-positions. Its phenyl rings have dihedral angle with high rotational barrier around biphenyl linkage.
Application
PCB No 209 has been used as internal standard in gas chromatography (GC-ECD) analysis for determination of deltamethrin.
PCB No 209 may be used as a reference standard for the determination of polychlorinated biphenyls in biota samples and in coastal marine sediments by simultaneous pressurized liquid extraction and purification and gas chromatography with an electron capture detector, respectively.
Refer to the product′s Certificate of Analysis for more information on a suitable instrument technique. Contact Technical Service for further support.
