General description
3-O-Acetyl-β-boswellic acid is a triterpenoid, available as a chemical constituent of olibanum (oleo-gum-resin), obtained from trees belonging to the genus, Boswellia. It is used for both therapeutic and commercial applications.
Application
3-O-Acetyl-β-boswellic acid may be used as an analytical reference standard for the quantification of the analyte in archaeological samples, Boswellia serrata, and Boswellia sacra using various chromatography techniques.
