烟酰胺由烟酸在肝脏中合成。它还能通过烟酰胺腺嘌呤二核苷酸 (NAD+) 水解生成。
应用
烟酰胺已被用于：
- 在对NAD缺陷哺乳动物线粒体中，研究其作为前体对烟酰胺腺嘌呤二核苷酸 (NAD) 浓度的影响
- 在体外丝氨酸羟甲基转移酶2 (SHMT2) 脱乙酰分析中，作为脱乙酰酶sirtuin (SIRT) 蛋白家族的抑制剂
- 研究其对ptenαm/m小鼠中缺血再灌注损伤诱导细胞死亡的影响
生化/生理作用
烟酰胺可作为生产β-烟酰胺腺嘌呤二核苷酸 (NAD+) 辅酶的前体。它参与NAD+磷酸盐 (NADP+) 的合成。它还调节细胞存活和死亡机制。烟酰胺缺乏症的症状包括疲劳、皮肤色素沉着、食欲下降和口腔溃疡。它的慢性缺乏会导致糙皮病。烟酰胺有减少氧化应激的保护作用。
烟酰胺是维生素B3的酰胺衍生物，是PARP抑制剂
