BSM 琼脂

BSM is a specialized medium designed for the selective isolation, identification, and enumeration of bifidobacteria, such as Bifidobacterium longum and Bifidobacterium infantis. It is formulated to support the growth of bifidobacteria while inhibiting competing microorganisms, including Lactobacillus and Streptococcus strains. The medium contains peptone and meat extract as sources of carbon, nitrogen, vitamins, and minerals, along with yeast extract, which provides B-complex vitamins to stimulate bacterial growth. Dextrose serves as the carbohydrate source, while sodium chloride maintains osmotic balance. The medium includes reducing and buffering agents to optimize growth conditions and to detoxify metabolic by-products. Selective salts inhibit molds, Enterococci, and Gram-negative bacteria. Additionally, three antibiotics act as selective agents, effectively suppressing accompanying bacterial flora.

将55.5 g BSM-琼脂溶于1升水中。在121°C高压蒸汽灭菌15分钟。 冷却至45-50°C并以无菌操作添加116mg BSM补充剂（货号83055；刚溶解在1至5ml 无菌水中）。充分混合，倒入无菌培养皿中。
