PPMLS (Polyphenol Metabolite Library of Standards) is a collection of unique high-quality small biochemicals that have a polyphenol structures. Polyphenols are founds in vegetables, cereals, fruits, oils, chocolate, spices, legumes and some beverages like red wine. In many plants, these are secondary metabolites associated with stress defense. Polyphenols are a class of compounds which includes flavonoids, phenolic acids, lignans, and stilbenes. Numerous studies of polyphenolic compounds have shown evidence of their anti-oxidative properties. Consumption of foods containing polyphenolic compounds might limit the risk of degenerative diseases, reduce oxidative stress and inflammation.
