一般描述
九水硫化钠通过还原作用参与氮氧化物转化为胺。
应用
九水硫化钠已被用作 H2S 的来源，以研究 H2S 对与神经退行性疾病相关的淀粉样纤维的作用。已用于制备硫化物标准品，用于定量分析原废水（污水）样品中的硫化物。
在硫代酰胺的合成中起到催化剂的作用。

九水硫化钠已被用作气相色谱法定量测定奶酪样品中挥发性硫化物的标准品。与 4-（2′-羟基芳基）-2-（ N , N -二烷基氨基）-1,3-二硫代高氯酸铵的乙醇溶液（室温）与沸腾的乙醇反应，生成 1,3-二硫醇-2-硫酮和 2′-羟基苯乙酮。九水硫化钠可用作还原剂，通过还原脱溴将 vic -二溴转化为相应的的烯烃。
