General description
氢碘酸是溶解在水中的碘化氢气体。它是通常用作还原剂的强酸。
氢碘酸（HI）和红磷（HI /红 P）起到还原剂的作用，用于制备甲基苯丙胺。HI/ 磷导致各种多环醌的还原。HI 还作为还原剂参与将各种聚芳烃醌、氢醌和酚转化成相应的芳烃。
