氧化锰（IV）是一种氧化试剂，可用于将丙炔醇、苯基或杂环醇、饱和醇、1,2-二醇、烯丙醇氧化为 α, β-乙烯醛或酮，并将胺氧化为醛、亚胺、酰胺和重氮化合物。它也可用于将烯丙醇转化成 α, β乙烯酯或酰胺，将腈水转化成酰胺，也可用于脱氢和芳构化反应。
