General description

Copper(II) oxide on alumina (CuO/Al₂O₃) is a cupric oxide (CuO) supported on alumina (Al₂O₃), commonly used as a catalyst. Various Cu/Al₂O₃ catalysts having varying ratios of Cu/Al have been characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), electron spin resonance (ESR), and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS). Furthermore, CuO/Al₂O₃ also used as an oxygen scavenger.
