General description
溴甲酚紫是一种将颜色从黄色（低至pH 5.2）变为紫色（高于pH 6.8）的 pH 指示剂。它可有助于对具有质膜损伤的细胞进行死亡细胞计数。溴甲酚紫可在酵母细胞中广泛用作荧光染液。质膜完整的细胞无法被染色，而受损的细胞则会被染成蓝灰色的鬼影。
