视黄醇或全反式视黄醇是20碳分子，含环己烯基环、带四个双键（均为 反式 构型）的侧链和末端醇基。

应用

视黄醇作为标准品，通过超高效液相色谱-串联质谱仪（UPLC-MS / MS），检测和定量维生素。

生化/生理作用

视黄醇及其衍生物有抗衰老特性。视黄醇用于治疗皱纹和衰老迹象。然而，由于其对光不稳定加上对皮肤具有刺激性，几乎不用于化妆品配方。视黄醇也用作皮肤病的治疗剂。缺乏会导致干燥症和毛囊角化过度症。
