General description
Smooth Muscle Actin is a part of the actin family of proteins which are highly conserved andform microfilaments. These filaments are one of the major components of the cytoskeleton.Anti-smooth muscle actin immunohistochemical reactivity is seen in smooth muscle cells,myofibroblasts, and myoepithelial cells.
