Biochem/physiol Actions
N-乙酰血清素(NAS,又称normelatonin)可以保护神经元,因为它能够防止氧化胁迫。 它还可以抑制转录因子NF-κB的作用。NAS具有抗氧化和抗衰老作用。它可以防止β-淀粉质引起的神经毒性。它有助于维持生物膜的最佳流动性能。
褪黑激素的直接前体。它由血清素和乙酰辅酶 A 在血清素 N-乙酰转移酶(褪黑激素生物合成中的限速酶)催化下形成的。该吲哚胺是褪黑激素受体的弱激动剂,对 G 蛋白刺激和 cAMP 积累的抑制有一定的作用。
