生化/生理作用

据报道积雪草酸对胶质母细胞瘤、乳腺、肝脏、黑素瘤和结肠癌有毒害作用，并具有抗血管生成活性。此外，它可穿过血脑屏障，并导致人恶性胶质瘤和肝细胞瘤的细胞凋亡。积雪草酸也有效抑制紫外线A调节的信号转导通路，因此可用于防止紫外线A诱导的皮肤光老化。它具有抗伤痛和抗炎特性，对于β-淀粉样蛋白和谷氨酸酯诱导的神经毒性有抑制作用。
积雪草酸常用于伤口愈合。积雪草酸具有抗氧化、抗炎和神经保护属性
