抗生物素蛋白占总蛋清蛋白的 0.05%。是一种糖基化蛋白。相当于分子量为 16.5 kDa，以四聚体形式存在，可结合至少 3 个生物素分子。

应用

亲和素用于含生物素蛋白的纯化，与对照人免疫球蛋白 (IgG) 功能化胶囊相比，亲和素可增强抗体 (Ab) 功能化胶囊的细胞结合和内化，表明这些胶囊可通过抗体/抗原识别与癌细胞发生特异性相互作用。
来自蛋清的抗生物素蛋白-琼脂糖已用于：
  • 在成神经细胞瘤细胞系 (SH-SY5Y) 中通过下拉试验沉淀生物素标记蛋白
  • 在纯化 曼氏血吸虫的 Lewis (x) 糖结合蛋白中
  • 在抗生物素蛋白微珠试验中纯化标记生物素
  • 从鼠角膜样品中捕获糖蛋白

生化/生理作用

亲和素由于其高亲和力的配体结合特性而得到生物技术的应用。亲和素通过其碳水化合物链与生物素相互作用在生物技术应用中被广泛利用。在癌细胞中，抗生物素蛋白-生物素系统有助于在肿瘤细胞中的体内定位和药物靶向。
