Anti-ZDHHC13 polyclonal antibody is used to tag zinc finger, DHHC-type containing 13 for detection and quantitation by Western blotting and in plasma by immunohistochemical (IHC) techniques. It is used as a probe to determine the roles of zinc finger, DHHC-type containing 13 in processes that involve Mg²⁺ transport and protein palmitoylation.

Anti-ZDHHC13 polyclonal antibody reacts with chicken, human, mouse, rat, zebrafish, and bovine zinc finger, DHHC-type containing 13 proteins.

ZDHHC13 may be involved in the NF-kappa-B signaling pathway.

Zinc finger, DHHC-type containing 13 (ZDHHC13, HIP14L, HIP3RP) is a Huntingtin-interacting protein that mediates the dual functions of palmitoyl acyltransferase and Mg²⁺ transport qualifying it as a chanzyme. Protein palmitoylation is important for the regulation of important cellular processes such as protein trafficking, stability, and protein-protein interactions. Improper palmitoylation may underlie diseases such as human alopecia, osteoporosis, and amyloidosis and many other neurodegenerative diseases caused by protein misfolding and amyloidosis.
