Biochem/physiol Actions

Beclin 1 (BECN1) 可补偿自噬相关基因6 (Atg6) 缺失酵母的自噬缺陷，并可恢复人MCF7乳腺癌细胞的自噬作用。Beclin 1在胚胎的早期发育中起重要作用。它还可作为单倍剂量不足抑癌基因。Beclin 1突变杂合小鼠的自发性肿瘤发生率提高。在人散发性乳腺癌、卵巢癌和前列腺癌中，Beclin 1均有高比例的等位基因缺失，并且表达水平下降。在人大脑中，BECN1水平随年龄增长呈现逐渐下降趋势，可能导致自噬活性随年龄增长而降低，引起突变亨廷顿蛋白的积聚，使得年龄延迟性的亨廷顿病发作。

General description

Beclin 1 (BECN1) 或GT197是一种抑癌基因。它是一种Bcl-2（B细胞淋巴瘤2）互作蛋白，属于酵母Atg6/Vps30的哺乳动物直系同源。Beclin 1蛋白含有450个氨基酸、3个结构域。编码BECN1的基因位于人染色体17q21上。

Immunogen

对应于人 Beclin 1 的氨基酸 29-46 的合成肽，通过 C-末端半胱氨酸残基与 KLH结合。相应的的序列在大鼠和小鼠中是相同的。

Physical form

溶于含 15 mM 叠氮化钠的 0.01 M 磷酸盐缓冲盐水 (pH 7.4) 中。
