Capns1 interacts with the Ras GTPase activating protein Src homology 3 domain (SH3) (RasGAP-SH3) domain to regulate cell migration and cell survival. It is essential for calpain activity. Capns1 is associated with the oncogenesis of many tumor types including hepatocellular, colorectal, ovarian, and breast cancer.
