General description
细胞色素 b5 (CYB5A) 基因编码细胞色素 b5 蛋白。位于人类 18 号染色体上。在睾丸的 Leydig 细胞和卵巢的卵泡膜细胞中共表达。
Biochem/physiol Actions
细胞色素 b5 (CYB5A) 通过细胞色素 P450 酶介导 NADH 依赖性高铁血红蛋白（红细胞）还原、电子转移至脂肪酸去饱和酶（主要是肝脏）以及类固醇和外源性物质代谢。对雄烯二酮合成至关重要。CYB5A 有助于性腺雄激素的有效合成。
细胞色素b5 是一种膜结合的含血红素的蛋白质，可增强某些P450同工型的催化效率。 其作用机理未知。

Analysis Note
