General description

2-（4-羧苯基）-4,4,5,5-四甲基咪唑啉-1-氧基-3-氧化物（羧基-PTIO）主要被认为是一氧化氮（NO）清除剂。

Application

羧基-PTIO钾盐通过检查反应混合物中羟基自由基或硝酸的生成情况，确定反应混合物中一氧化氮的生成情况。还可添加至神经元，分析其对葡萄糖/氧气/血清剥夺（GOSD）状态的影响（4）

Biochem/physiol Actions

羧基-PTIO可以与一氧化氮（NO）快速反应生成二氧化氮（NO₂）。可用于预防体内脂多糖刺激引起的低血压和内毒素性休克。羧基-PTIO还可以阻断体外 NO刺激造成的血管松弛。

其与一氧化氮反应可形成羧基-PTI衍生物，产物可进一步抑制一氧化氮合成酶的活性。
