植物甾醇。可降低膳食胆固醇的吸收。
菜油甾醇是一种植物甾醇，主要存在于坚果、水果、豆类和种子中。虽然它是胆固醇的类似物，但它在人体中的吸收很差，并且能够竞争性抑制胆固醇的吸收。菜油甾醇降低了参与肝细胞和肠细胞中胆固醇代谢的基因的转录，并且对心血管疾病的治疗具有积极影响。

制备说明

菜油甾醇以20mg/ml浓度溶于氯仿，可得到透明、无色至淡黄色的溶液。

分析说明

通过HPLC和GC分析得到二氢菜子甾醇（24β-甲基-5-胆甾烯-3β-醇；24[S]-麦角甾-5-烯-3β-醇）的含量约为98%，但 13C-NMR显示含量约为35％。
