牛乳中的酪蛋白、N,N-二甲基化可用于检测和帮助确定组织转谷氨酰胺酶 (tTG) 在疾病中的功能角色。特别是酪蛋白,N,N-二甲基化已经被用于蛋白质底物上 tTG 的力学和动力学分析,这可能与神经退行性疾病有关。

与非甲基化酪蛋白相比,该制剂与 2,4,6-三硝基苯磺酸 (TNBS) 的反应性低于 10%。

  1. How does the storage temperature relate to shipping conditions?

    The storage conditions that a Sigma-Aldrich catalog and label recommend for products are deliberately conservative. For many products, long-term storage at low temperatures will increase the time during which they are expected to remain in specification and therefore are labeled accordingly. Where short-term storage, shipping time frame, or exposure to conditions other than those recommended for long-term storage will not affect product quality, Sigma-Aldrich will ship at ambient temperature. The products sensitive to short-term exposure to conditions other than their recommended long-term storage are shipped on wet or dry ice. Ambient temperature shipping helps to control shipping costs for our customers. At any time, our customers can request wet- or dry-ice shipment, but the special handling is at customer expense if our product history indicates that the product is stable for regular shipment.     The solubility has been tested at 10mg/mL in 0.1M Boric acid, resulting in a white haze.

    Unfortunately, we have not determined the molecular weight. The molecular weight of casein is 26 kDa or less; the molecular weight of Product No. C9801 is expected to be a bit higher.

    This product is not sold by purity, but by the percent of N,N-methylation. It is required to be at least 90% methylated.
