A non seminomatous germ cell carcinoma derived cell line. This cell line was established from a single cell clone from a subline of cell line 2102Ep passaged through a nude mouse. This cell line is tumourigenic in nude mice.
Human embryonal carcinoma

Preparation Note

DMEM (High Glucose) + 2mM Glutamine + 10% Foetal Bovine Serum (FBS). No sodium pyruvate.
Split sub-confluent cultures (70-80%) 1:3 to 1:5 i.e. seeding at >6x10,000 cells/cm2 using 0.25% trypsin or trypsin or trypsin/EDTA; 10% CO2; 37°C.
