Biochem/physiol Actions

A bromodeoxyuridine-resistant mutant of NS20Y (Sigma Catalogue number 08062517) The cell line NS20Y is a cholinergic cell line derived from mouse neuroblastoma C1300 Mouse strain A/Jax.
Mouse neuroblastoma

Preparation Note

DMEM + 2 mM Glutamine + 10% Foetal Bovine Serum (FBS)+ 1 mM 8-bromodeoxyuridine. Cells can also be grown in the absence of bromodeoxyuridine
Split sub-confluent cultures (70-80%) 1:3 to 1:6 i.e. seeding at 2-4x10,000 cells/cm2 using 0.05% trypsin/EDTA; 5% CO2; 37°C.
