2BII, the major glycoprotein fraction of the cell wall of Chlamydomonas reinhardii

Rat YB2/3.0 Ag20 x Rat AO spleen

The antibody recognises the glycoprotein 2BII of Chlamydomonas reinhardii. Binding is lost after acid hydrolysis or de-glycosylation of 2BII. AFRC MAC 9 shows similar specificity and properties to AFRC MAC 6, 7, 8, 10 and 11.

DMEM + 2mM glutamine + 10% Foetal Bovine Serum (FBS)

Maintain cultures between 3-9x100,000 cells/ml; 5% CO₂; 37°C. These cells require mouse macrophage feeder layers upon resuscitation
