Virus studies: Moloney MSV and RD-114 helper leukaemia virus Leukemogenesis
Biochem/physiol Actions
A clone of the mink lung cell line Mv.1.Lu (Sigma Catalogue number. 88050503). Isolated from a single cell of a focus produced in the monolayer after infection with Moloney murine sarcoma virus associated with the RD-114 helper leukaemia virus. Super infection with non-transforming leukaemia virus results in transformation and net amplification of sarcoma-specific RNA sequences.
Mink lung, Moloney murine sarcoma virus infected
Preparation Note
RPMI 1640 + 2mM Glutamine + 10% Foetal Bovine Serum (FBS).
Split sub-confluent cultures (70-80%) 1:2 to 1:4 i.e. seeding at 4x10,000 cells/cm2 using 0.25% trypsin/EDTA; 5% CO2; 37°C.
