Application
Analysis of human chromosome 7 transfectants.
Biochem/physiol Actions
Mouse / Human Hybrid, NIH-3T3 transfectant
The cell line DF has been derived by transfecting NIH-3T3 with human chromosome 7 DNA. It was originally established for the analysis of the cystic fibrosis locus and contains a transgenomic size of 3-4 Mb. Chromosomal fragments detected were 7q22-31.3 (met oncogene) and 7q22-7cen.
Preparation Note
DMEM + 2mM Glutamine + 10% Foetal Bovine Serum (FBS).
Split sub-confluent cultures (70-80%) 1:3 to 1:6 i.e. seeding at 3-6 x 10,000 cells / cm2 using 0.25% trypsin or trypsin/EDTA; 5%CO2; 37°C.
