生化/生理作用
Derived from normal rat kidney transformed by Kirsten sarcoma virus. Cells do not produce virus but carry the virus genome. In serum free medium the cell line produces growth factors capable of stimulating quiescent cells to grow in monolayers or in soft agar.

DMEM + 2mM Glutamine + 5-10% Foetal Bovine Serum (FBS).
Split sub-confluent cultures (70-80%) 1:4 to 1:10 i.e. seeding at 1-3x10,000 cells/cm2 using 0.25% trypsin or trypsin/EDTA; 5% CO2; 37°C.
