The antibody is directed against the leukocyte common antigen (L-CA), present on all leukocytes but not erythroid cells or cells from other tissues. The OX-29 competes for binding with OX-1 but recognises half the number of sites.

RPMI 1640 + 2mM glutamine + 10% Foetal Bovine Serum (FBS)
Seed at 5x10,000 viable cells/ml. Subculture when cells reach 5x100,000-1x1,000,000 cells/ml (usually after 3-4 days); 5% CO2; 37°C.
