Tumourigenicity studies

Derived from X-irradiation induced small bowel adenocarcinoma in adult male Holtzmann rat. Sensitive to lysis by peripheral blood lymphoid cells taken from F344 rats with colon and pancreatic cancers induced by 1, 2 Dimethylhydrazine or 7, 12 DMBT.

Ham′s F10 + 2mM Glutamine + 10% Foetal Bovine Serum (FBS).

Split sub-confluent cultures (70-80%) 1:3 to 1:6 i.e. seeding at 4x10,000 cells/cm² using 0.25% trypsin/EDTA; 5% CO₂; 37°C.
