Canine natural killer cell assay.

Dog thyroid gland adenocarcinoma

The cell line CTAC originated from a 7 year old female boxer with thyroid adenocarcinoma of small-cell type. CTAC has been reported to be highly susceptible for use in canine natural killer cell (chromium release) assays.

RPMI 1640 or MEM + 2mM Glutamine + 10% Foetal Bovine Serum (FBS).

Split sub-confluent cultures (70-80%) 1:5 using 0.25% trypsin or trypsin/EDTA; 5% CO₂; 37°C.
