Schwann cell gene regulation and development

Biochem/physiol Actions

Derived from the ethylnitrosourea-induced tumour line D6 of the rat peripheral nervous system. Cells will de-differentiate after 10 passages. Read references prior to use.

Preparation Note

DMEM + 2mM Glutamine + 5% Foetal Bovine Serum (FBS).
Split sub-confluent cultures (70-80%) 1:5 i.e. seeding at 2-4x10,000 cells/cm2 using 0.25% trypsin or trypsin/EDTA; 5% CO2; 37°C.
