A renamed subculture of the rat gliomal line 1A2(R) - 93040129. A15 is tumourigenic in BDIX rats.

Preparation Note

DMEM + 2mM Glutamine + 15% Foetal Bovine Serum (FBS).
Split sub-confluent cultures (70-80%) 1:50 to 1:100 i.e. seeding at 2-4x10,000 cells/cm2 flask using 0.25% trypsin/EDTA; 10-15% CO2; 37°C. Cells can reach up to 4x1,000,000 cells per 25cm2 flask.
