Biochem/physiol Actions
Derived from a spontaneous lymphoma in an NFS.C58v-1 mouse. These pre-B cells are negative for surface Ig, Ia and ThB.

Preparation Note
DMEM + 10% NCTC 109 + 2mM Glutamine + 1% Non Essential Amino Acids (NEAA) + 1% Sodium Pyruvate (NaP) + 1mM Oxaloacetic acid + 50μM 2-Mercaptoethanol (2ME) + 2μg/ml Transferrin + 0.2IU/ml Insulin + 10% Foetal Bovine Serum (FBS).
Maintain cultures between 3-9x100,000 cells/ml; 5% CO2; 37°C. Immediately after resuscitation a pre-centrifugation step to remove cryoprotectant (DMSO) is recommended i.e. pellet the cells by centrifugation at 100 x g for 5 minutes and resuspend the cell
