Ricin β chain

Has been used in a protocol for purifying the α chains (A1 and A2) of ricin with minimal cross-contamination for the preparation of immunotoxins.

Mouse Sp2/5 x Mouse BALB/c spleen immunised with ricin β chain

Produces a monoclonal antibody (IgG1) which reacts with the β chain of the plant toxin ricin.

DMEM + 2mM glutamine + 10% Foetal Bovine Serum (FBS)

Maintain cultures between 100,000 - 1,000,000 cells/ml; 5% CO₂; 37°C.
