Human oral squamous cell carcinoma
The cell line PE/CA-PJ15 was established from tongue tissue of a 45 year old male patient with oral squamous cell carcinoma. The cells have been shown to have epithelial differentiated characteristics expressing laminin and cytokeratins. Involucrin has been detected in some cells and cell groups.
Preparation Note
IDMEM + 2mM Glutamine + 10% Foetal Bovine Serum (FBS).
Split sub-confluent cultures (70-80%) 1:2 to 1:8 using 0.25% trypsin or trypsin/EDTA; 5% CO2; 37°C. Note: cells may take up to 7 days to become confluent, a medium change during this period may be required.
