Established by EBV transformation of mononuclear cell from a peripheral blood sample from a 4 year old male patient. The patient was diagnosed with trichothiodystrophy (TTD), a syndrome connected to deficiency in excision repair of ultraviolet radiation induced DNA damage. Studies with fibroblasts from the same patient, known as TTD4BR, have been published.
Human lymphoblastoid, trichothiodystrophy, EBV-transformed
Preparation Note
Maintain cultures between 3-9 x 100,000 cells/ml, dilute every 1-2 days to 3 x 100,000 cells/ml; 5% CO2, 37°C
