Application
Anti-Dog Serum antibody produced in rabbit has been used in immunochemistry to identify the feeding source in the promesenteron of male and female insects.
Biochem/physiol Actions
Adult dog serum can be used as a substitute for colostrum in the neonatal dog.
Strong reactivity with normal dog serum has been determined. This antiserum has not been assayed for interspecies cross reactivity.
Physical form
Rabbit Anti-Dog Serum is provided as a liquid containing 0.1% sodium azide as preservative.
Preparation Note
For extended storage, the solution may be frozen in working aliquots. Repeated freezing and thawing is not recommended. Storage in "frost-free" freezers is not recommended. If slight turbidity occurs upon prolonged storage, clarify the solution by centrifugation before use.
