- affinity chromatography
Biochem/physiol Actions
Digoxin is a phytoestrogen that binds estrogen receptors and produces inotropic effects in cardiac muscle. Studies show that digoxin decreases the risk of breast and uterus cancers that are estrogen sensitive.
Digoxin plays an important role in the treatment of heart failure and supraventricular tachyarrhythmias.
Physical form
The product is provided as a undiluted antiserum containing 0.1% sodium azide as a preservative.
Preparation Note
Dilute with buffer: 0.01 M phosphate, pH 7.4, 0.15 M sodium chloride, and 0.1% sodium azide.
