General description

β-雌二醇是一种天然的人类雌激素。这对于乳房和生殖上皮的生长、长骨的成熟以及继发性特征的发展十分重要。雌二醇由未成熟的生殖细胞、精子、Leydig细胞和Sertoli细胞产生。它在Sertoli细胞增殖、离子运输调节和细胞凋亡调节中起关键作用。雌二醇可调节精子的浓度、活力和形态。β-雌二醇起绝经激素的作用。它可用于女性性腺功能减退或原发性卵巢衰竭的替代疗法中。β-雌二醇水平的降低与心脏病和骨质疏松症有关。

Application

β-雌二醇已被用于：
  • 小鼠子宫内膜基质细胞（ESC）的原代培养
  • 体外雌激素处理
  • 体外卵丘-卵母细胞复合体（COC）的成熟

β-雌激素可用于研究细胞分化和转化（致瘤性）。

Biochem/physiol Actions

绝经前卵巢分泌的主要雌激素。雌激素通过调节基因转录并因此调节蛋白质合成来指导胚胎发生和青春期女性表型的发展。 它还诱导促性腺激素的产生，进而诱导排卵。 暴露于雌二醇会增加乳腺癌的发生率和增殖。

Preparation Note

制备20 μg/ml储备溶液，加入1 ml1 ml无水乙醇；轻轻旋转溶解；混合时加入49 ml无菌培养基。
