L-谷氨酸脱氢酶催化异柠檬酸转化为 α-酮戊二酸和二氧化碳。

生化/生理作用

这种酶的哺乳动物形式，包括这种牛形式，可以使用 NADP (H) 或 NAD (H) 作为辅酶。 L -谷氨酸脱氢酶在哺乳动物代谢中起着独特角色。该酶催化的逆向反应是氨与 α-淀粉结合的唯一途径。-α 的碳原子-因此，羧酸是哺乳动物中从头合成氨基酸的唯一来源。

牛酶的特点有三组属性：
  • 具有可逆的浓度依赖性结合，产生较高分子量形式。
  • 形成紧密的酶-还原型辅酶-底物三元复合物，其解离速率调节稳态反应速率。
  • 表现出各种各样的影响，从结合的任何编号核苷酸修饰。
