Recombinant spondin 1, extracellular matrix protein
Application
Anti-Spondin-1 antibody produced in chicken is suitable for western blotting analysis at a dilution of 1:500, for tissue or cell staining at a dilution of 1:200.
Biochem/physiol Actions
Spondin-1 (also known as F-spondin) is a protein encoded by the SPON1 gene in humans. It is an extracellular matrix protein that mediates axon guidance during neuronal development and consists of an N-terminal domain called as reelin-N domain. F-spondin highly expressing human periodontal ligament (HPL) cells show similar phenotype of cementoblasts. It acts as a promoting factor for cementoblastic differentiation.
Physical form
Solution in phosphate buffered saline containing 0.02% sodium azide.

The extracellular matrix protein F-spondin mediates axon guidance during neuronal development. Its N-terminal domain, termed the reelin-N domain, is conserved in F-spondins, reelins, and other extracellular matrix proteins. In this study, a recombinant human reelin-N domain has been expressed, purified
