本品功能未测试过是否与天然制剂（未冻干亚铁血红蛋白）等效。
血红蛋白是红细胞的主要成分，也是红细胞呈现红色的原因。它在红细胞中的正常浓度为34％。由于它能够将氧从肺部输送到身体组织，促进二氧化碳的返回转运，因此血红蛋白是脊椎动物最重要的呼吸蛋白。
应用
血红蛋白S可用于通过时间分辨免疫荧光测定法对胎儿血红蛋白进行测定。

封装规格表示通过Drabkin, D.L., J. Biol. Chem., 164, 703 (1946).所报道方法测定的血红蛋白量。
制备说明
当用缓冲液进行溶解时，可得到> 90％的铁血红蛋白。
