Application

Hck is a protein-tyrosine kinase that is expressed in hemopoietic cells. It is used in leukemia research .

Biochem/physiol Actions

Hck is a member of the Src tyrosine kinase family. Hck has been shown to associate with and be activated by Bcr-Abl, which is a protein-tyrosine kinase that is expressed in chronic myelogenous leukemia .

Physical form

Supplied as a solution in 50 mM Tris HCl, pH 7.4, 1 mM EDTA and 1 mM DTT

Other Notes

One unit will phosphorylate 1.0 picomole of Tyr¹⁵of the peptide substrate p^{cdc2 6-20} per minute at 30 °C at pH 7.4.
