Armadillo repeat-containing X-linked protein 1 (ARMCX1) belongs to the armadillo (ARM) repeat family of proteins and the gene encodes 453 amino acids. It has four exons with the coding region residing entirely in a single exon.

Armadillo repeat-containing X-linked protein 1 (ARMCX1) plays a role in suppression of tumors originating from epithelial tissue, that is, carcinomas. It has important functions in the Wnt/β-catenin pathway.
